The AELAB OS20-S and OS40-S incorporate a maintenance-free Brushless DC motor for prolonged lifetime, explosion-proof operation, and stable torque output. The LED display provides real-time monitoring of actual stirring speed. A robust chuck accommodates shafts from 0.5–10 mm, while overload protection circuitry ensures safe stopping during anti-stall or overload events. The compact 83 × 220 × 186 mm frame is suited for benchtop installation with IP21 protection.

The overhead stirrer transmits rotational mechanical force from the brushless DC motor to the stirring shaft, enabling controlled agitation of liquids across viscosities up to 50000 mPa·s (OS40-S). The LED screen displays the instantaneous rpm value, while internal feedback mechanisms regulate torque under varying load conditions. This ensures uniform mixing in applications ranging from aqueous solutions to dense suspensions.
