Overview
A bath circulator is a device used in laboratories and industrial settings to precisely control the temperature of liquids in baths or tanks. It consists of a heating and cooling system, a pump, and a temperature controller. The liquid to be heated or cooled is circulated through the bath or tank by the pump, ensuring uniform temperature distribution. This equipment is crucial for experiments and processes that require stable and controlled temperatures, such as chemical reactions, biological studies, and material testing. Bath circulators come in various sizes and configurations to accommodate different volumes and temperature ranges, offering flexibility and accuracy in temperature control for scientific and industrial applications.

How the AE-BC series works
The AE-BC series are heating bath circulators with a 2000 W heater and a built-in pump. The pump circulates liquid inside the bath or through an external tank, so the same unit works as an open water bath or as a heating source for a separate vessel. A PID controller adjusts the heater output to hold the set temperature within ±0.05°C. Class II protection, a low-liquid sensor and software overtemperature protection make the units suitable for use with flammable liquids.
Why choose AE-BC bath circulators
- Stable temperature: ±0.05°C stability from room temperature +10°C up to 100°C on every model.
- Pressure and suction pump: 12 L/min on the 6 L and 13 L models, 22 L/min on the 17 L, 20 L and 27 L models.
- Internal and external circulation: work in the bath itself or feed an external tank or instrument.
- Easy operation: splash-proof keypad with a bright display and an easily accessible drain tap.
- Five bath sizes: 6, 13, 17, 20 and 27 L, with different opening sizes for different vessels.
Which model to choose
- AE-BC206E: smallest bath (6 L, opening 150×105×150 mm) for compact benches and small vessels.
- AE-BC213E: 13 L bath with a 295×130×150 mm opening, same 12 L/min pump as the 206E.
- AE-BC217E: 17 L bath, 200 mm deep opening, with the stronger 22 L/min pump.
- AE-BC220E: 20 L bath with a wider 295×295×150 mm opening for larger or more vessels.
- AE-BC227E: largest bath (27 L, opening 295×295×200 mm) for the most volume and depth.
Full data for every model is in the Specifications table below.
Typical applications
- Temperature control of chemical reactions
- Incubation of biological samples
- Material testing that needs a stable thermal environment
- Quality control in pharmaceutical and food laboratories
- Teaching laboratories that need safe, reliable temperature control
Bath circulator FAQ
What temperature range do the AE-BC bath circulators cover?
All five models work from room temperature +10°C up to 100°C. The E models have a single calibration point and a maximum of 100°C.
How stable is the temperature?
Temperature stability is ±0.05°C on all models, controlled by a PID controller with a 0.1 display resolution.
How much heating power do they have?
Every model has a 2000 W heater.
What are the pump flow rate and pressure?
The AE-BC206E and AE-BC213E give 12 L/min with 0.2 bar pressure and 0.1 bar suction. The AE-BC217E, AE-BC220E and AE-BC227E give 22 L/min with 0.3 bar pressure and 0.2 bar suction.
What bath volumes are available?
6 L (AE-BC206E), 13 L (AE-BC213E), 17 L (AE-BC217E), 20 L (AE-BC220E) and 27 L (AE-BC227E).
Can I circulate liquid to an external vessel?
Yes. The pump works in pressure and suction mode for both internal circulation in the bath and external circulation to a separate tank or instrument.
Can I use them with flammable liquids?
The units have Class II safety protection with a low-liquid sensor and software overtemperature protection, and are listed as suitable for inflammable liquids.
