The SYD-2806F uses microcomputer control, a true-color touch screen, linear heating and automatic stirring. It can test two samples at the same time. After the test, the average value is generated automatically, and the instrument provides an audible indication.

For softening points ≤80℃, distilled water is used as the heating medium over a measurement range of 5℃～80℃. For softening points above 80℃, glycerin is used over a range of 32℃～160℃. Temperature resolution is 0.1℃, and the heating rate is automatically adjusted to (5.0±0.5)℃/min after three minutes.
