The AELAB SYD-0168 is a Petroleum Products Color Tester designed to determine the color of various lubricating oils and other petroleum products according to SH/T 0168-92 Standard Test Method for Color of Petroleum Products.
The test is performed by filling the sample into a color comparing tube and visually comparing the sample color with the standard colors on the instrument’s color dial to determine the corresponding color number.
The optical system uses a 220 V, 100 W light source with a specified color temperature of 2750±50 K. The light passes through milk white glass and sunshine filtering glass before the optical system directs parallel light toward the sample and the standard color glass for visual comparison.
