The AELAB SYD-8017A is an Automatic Vapor Pressure Tester for determining the vapor pressure of gasoline, volatile crude oil and other volatile petroleum products by the Reid method. It is designed according to GB/T 8017 Petroleum Products – Determination of Vapor Pressure – Reid Method and can also be used for determination according to ASTM D323 Standard Test Method for Vapor Pressure of Petroleum Products (Reid Method).

The SYD-8017A is a fully automatic, PC-controlled vapor pressure tester. After the test parameters are set, the instrument automatically controls the constant-temperature water bath, test bomb rotation, pressure detection, test timing and result evaluation. Test results are stored automatically when the test is completed.

The instrument can perform three bomb tests at the same time. The constant-temperature water bath operates at 37.8℃ with a temperature control accuracy of ±0.1℃, while the specified pressure range is (0~200)kPa.

A color TFT LCD touchscreen provides instrument operation and data display. Stored test results can be queried and printed. Online pressure and temperature adjustment functions are provided for pressure-sensor calibration and correction of small temperature-sensor reading deviations.

The SYD-8017A is intended for applicable petroleum products tested by the Reid method. It cannot be used to determine the vapor pressure of LPG.
